Can't Have Enough Of Dodge? Here Come Two More HEMI Challenger And Charger Models
American muscle car giant Dodge, showcased two special edition Challenger and Charger models on Tuesday, which will hit the market by this fall. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will further strengthen its Dodge brand in the US as one of leading performance car manufacturer.
Dodge officials said, that the 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A and 2017 Charger Daytona will be sold with the price tag of under $45,000 when they hit the market. The cars will be powered by a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 engine which produces 478bhp, or a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 that generates 370bhp.
The Challenger T/A was first built for the Sports Car Club of America's Trans Am racing series in 1970. Only 2,399 units were built. The new Challenger T/A will come in three variants, Challenger T/A, Challenger T/A Plus, and Challenger T/A 392.
The car will come with features such as, air catcher headlamps with illuminated LED logos, a satin black painted hood, Brembo brakes, unique suspension, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and Pirelli tires. The price starts from $37,390.
The 2017 Dodge Daytona is inspired by the Charger Daytona that made its first appearance in 1969 as a 501-unit, purpose built production car for NASCAR. The new 2017 Daytona will boast cat pack-inspired front performance grille, performance side sills, a 2.75-inch active performance track pack with a specially tuned suspension, performance brakes, and three-mode electronic stability control. The price tag for the car starts from $39,890.
Tim Kuniskis, Head of Dodge, Chrysler, and SRT said they have not put a limit for the number of units to be produce and they will be manufacturing as many orders they receive.
