Toyota Platinum Etios Launched In Bangalore; Prices Start At Rs. 6.98 Lakh
Japanese carmaker Toyota has launched the Platinum Etios sedan in Bangalore. Prices for the new Etios Liva start at Rs. 6.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore).

The new Platinum Etios features the same same 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engines found on the pre-facelift version of the car.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 89bhp and 132Nm of torque while the 1.4-litre diesel pushes out 67bhp and 170Nm of torque.
Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Design wise, like the its revised hatchback sibling, the 2016 Etios Liva, the new Platinum Etios features redesigned front and rear bumpers along with redesigned tail lights.
The new front bumper looks quite chunky which provides a contrast to the redesigned grille, which looks quite sleek.
Inside, the centre mounted instrument cluster now has a dual tone - black and ivory - theme while the seats have been revised.
The rear seats can be folded down fully as well and now feature a foldable armrest in the centre.
Safety features like dual airbags and Anti-Lock Brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (ABS with EBD) are a standard feature on all variants of the Platinum Etios.
All five seats come with three point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seatbelts which also feature pre-tensioner and force limiter (PTFL) for the the front seats.
Also present, are ISOFIX child seat mounts on the rear seats.
The new Platinum Etios will clash with Ford Figo Aspire, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and the Mahindra Verito.
