Toyota Reveals The Facelifted Corolla Altis Prior To Global Debut
Toyota has gone ahead and revealed the Corolla Altis prior to its global debut later this year. The Corolla Altis facelift receives an update on styling and features, the car is expected to come to India later next year.
The new Corolla Altis front profile has gone through changes with a single slat chrome grille and is edged with sleek headlamps. The design of the front bumper has been changed which reveals a large central air dam.
On the rear profile, the facelifted Altis receives all-new LED taillamps and bumper has been revised as well. We also see a new set of alloy wheels for the sedan.
Features on the new Corolla Altis gets DRL (Daytime Running Lights) along the sleeker headlamps, which is available in the top variant of the sedan. The safety has been upgraded such as lane departure alert, automatic high beam, and the pre-collision system.
The pre-collision system feature is where the seat belts tighten and pre-charges brakes on any unavoidable crash. There is no word on the engine specifications as of now.
For India, the new Altis could come sometime next year post the international debut and might get the 1.8-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engines and might get the pre-collision system.
In India, the Corolla Altis has been well received especially the hybrid variant, with diesel ban in Delhi, the hybrid is exempted from the ban.
