Toyota To Launch Facelifted 2017 Corolla Altis In India
Toyota India will launch the facelifted Corolla Altis in 2017. Currently, Corolla is the bestselling executive sedan and it outsold its closest competitor, Skoda Octavia by a good margin. The car will get mostly cosmetic and equipment upgrades.
The new Altis will feature LED headlamps with daytime running light, chrome upper grille, wider radiator grille and LED taillamps. For the interior, Toyota slightly updated the HVAC controls and HVAC vents, which are now in circular shape. A new Touch 2 system with navigation has been integrated into the centre console. The instrument cluster also features a 4.2 inch MID display with updated software.
The engines remain the same for the all new Toyota sedan. A 1.8-litre VVT-i petrol unit producing 140bhp and a 1.4-litre D-4D turbodiesel variant producing 88bhp. Transmission options are 6-speed manual and 7-step CVT unit.
