Tesla Starts Selling Cheaper Version Of The Model S — Really?

Tesla, the US based electric carmaker has started selling a more affordable version of the Model S in the US, called the Model S 60. The reason for the cheaper version of the Model S is to make electric cars more affordable for people.
The Tesla Model S 60 starts at a price of USD 66,000 (Rs. 44 lakh), while an all-wheel drive variant of the same model will sell from USD 71,000 (Rs. 47.4 lakh) onward. Both models are priced way under the Model S 90D, which currently sells for USD 89,500 (Rs. 59.7 lakh).
The Tesla Model S 60, according to the carmaker can travel upto 200 miles (321km) on a full charge and reach a top speed of 130mph (209km/h). Also, deliveries for the Model S will begin next month according to the carmaker's website.
