Tata Xenon Evolve Launched; Is It Coming To India?
Tata Motors has launched a special edition version of the Xenon pickup truck in South Africa.
Called the Xenon Evolve, the pickup is priced at ZAR 2,69,995(Rs. 12,44,760) for the 4x2 variant. The 4x4 variant will only be made on order.
The Xenon Evolve is powered by Tata's 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 145bhp and 320Nm of torque. Power is sent to either two or all four wheels through a 5-speed gearbox.
To help differentiate the Xenon Evolve from other variants, Tata has painted the pickup black and added white decals on the walls of the loading bay as well as on the lower end of the second set of doors.
Also new are black alloy wheels, silver foot board, a thick chrome rollover hoop behind the cabin, a bull bar on the front bumper and a tow bar.
Inside the new Evolve gets leather seats, an infotainments system with Bluetooth connectivity and GPS.
Safety features like dual airbags and ABS are standard on the Xenon Evolve.
It is not known if Tata will bring the Xenon Evolve to India.
