Production Version Tata Nexon Spotted Testing On Road

A test mule of the Tata Nexon was snapped on test in Maharashtra. This time, the vehicle looked more like a production version of the model showcased at the Auto Expo this year.

As seen in the spy images, the Nexon's tailgate features a dual-tone finish with the silver body colour complemented with a black strip. The absence of a rear wiper confirms that the prototype spotted here is a base/mid-level variant.

Once launched, the Nexon will feature 16-inch alloy wheels, a dual-path suspension and offers a ground clearance of 200mm. The car is expected to feature a 6.5-inch touchscreen entertainment system, steering-mounted controls, a drive-mode selector, automatic climate control and a multi-information display.

Powering the Nexon will be a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol Revotorq engine, that can produce 110bhp of power and 260Nm of torque.

The gearbox offered on the Nexon will be a choice of six-speed manual or the AMT gearbox.

The Nexon is expected to go up against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza in the Indian market.
