At the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi, Tata Motors showcased it all-new design philosophy with the Tiago hatchback, Kite5 compact sedan, and Nexon compact SUV models. All these models will be based on Tata's Advanced Modular platform.
Tata Motors plan on using the platform to develop six new and interesting products for domestic and international markets. Indian-based automobile manufacturer plans on entering new segments as well. Most of these products are expected to be launched in the following years.
Indian-based automobile manufacturer plans on entering the premium hatchback segment. Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20 currently dominate this segment in India. Tata Motors plans to enter this segment with their very own model codenamed model 'X451'.
The overall design of Tata's premium hatchback will be similar to the Nexon compact SUV. The premium hatchback will sport sleek and sporty headlamps. We expect an edgier and sporty avatar on the X451 model from Tata designers.
The majority of the details will be carried out within the cabin of X451. Tata Motors will focus on delivering a premium, sporty, as well as reliable interior. The premium hatchback will also receive several segment first features, which will be the USP of their new model.
