New Suzuki Solio And Solio Bandit Hybrid Launched In Japan
Suzuki launched the new Solio and Solio Bandit hybrid cars in the Japanese market.
Suzuki Motor Corporation has launched the new iterations of the Solio and Solio Bandit compact cars in the Japanese market. These cars are equipped with the newly developed hybrid system.
Japanese car manufacturer Suzuki claims that the hybrid system equipped in the Solio and Solio Bandit are the most fuel efficient in Japan.
Suzuki states that the cars will deliver a mileage of 32km/l. The newly developed hybrid system is based on the Suzuki's parallel hybrid system.
The parallel hybrid system combines a Motor Generator Unit (MGU) to an Auto Gear Shift (AGS). MGU is a small driving motor which packs big amount of energy.
AGS is a lightweight, compact and reliable transmission. Combining both the units will deliver smooth acceleration by complementing with MGU's power while changing gears.
The new hybrid system offers two driving modes - Normal Mode and Eco Mode. This allows the driver to select between two modes depending on the driving conditions.
The driving modes also play a very important role in increasing the frequency of EV driving. Apart from that, all the variants of the Solio will be benefited from the eco-car tax exemption in Japan.
