Ssangyong Tivoli XLV Teased Ahead Of 2016 Geneva Launch
Ssangyong will be launching an all-new SUV variant at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The new variant will be based on their Tivoli compact SUV and will be called the 'XLV'. Ssangyong Motors has now shared a couple of teaser images of the Tivoli XLV ahead of its launch.
The Tivoli XLV is an extended version of the regular compact SUV. Ssangyong is developing the model to accommodate seven people comfortably. Previously, Ssangyong showcased an initial concept model at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Under the hood of Ssangyong's Tivoli XLV will be the same engine options. A 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine as available in the regular Tivoli will be on offer. Both engines will be mated to an optional 6-speed manual or automatic transmission options with AWD or FWD system.
In terms of design, the Tivoli XLV will look more or less identical to current generation Ssangyong Tivoli. Most noticeable changes will be evident from the side profile of the vehicle owing to its extended wheelbase. Interiors could also be spruced up for additional creature comforts.
Recently, Mahindra showcased the all-new Ssangyong Tivoli at the 2016 Auto Expo. It is still unclear if the premium compact SUV will be launched in India or not. Currently, Ssangyong offers only a single model in the Indian market, in the form of their Rexton SUV model.
