Skoda Celebrates 15th Anniversary Of The Superb
The name Superb was launched by Skoda a way back in 1934 in the form of the 640 Superb.

that
the
company
has
produced
1
lakh
units
of
the
current
gen
Superb.
The
very
first
superb
was
launched
back
in
2001
and
since,
the
automaker
has
produced
around
9
lakh
units
of
all
the
three
generations.
They
announced
this
as
part
of
the
model's
15th
anniversary.
The current model Superb was introduced in March 2015 globally. The model has a sharp design, plenty of features and it's even more spacious than the old generation. The model is powered by a 1.8-litre and a 2.0-litre diesel engine.
The petrol engine is mated with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission while the diesel is available with only a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
The name Superb was launched by Skoda a way back in 1934 in the form of the 640 Superb. That vehicle had a 2.5-litre six-cylinder engine producing 55bhp and only 200 vehicles rolled out of the factory.
