Skoda A-Plus SUV Officially Revealed: Will It Retain The Kodiaq Name?
Skoda has revealed the A-Plus SUV prototype, after the concept form was revealed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, called the Vision S concept. Although the SUV still had its 'camo' on, it is enough to give a decent picture of how the final product will look like once it hits the market.
The final production ready version of the Skoda seven seater SUV will make its global debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show scheduled to take place in October this year. The Skoda A-Plus SUV could make it to Indian shores in 2017.
The Skoda A-Plus SUV takes its design language from the new Skoda design, with a new front grille and sleeker headlights. It is still unclear at the moment if Skoda will retain the 'Kodiaq' name for the upcoming seven seater SUV.
In terms of features, the Skoda SUV could come with a 12-inch instrument panel and an 8-inch display in the centre console. The Skoda Kodiaq will have a higher seating position compared to all other vehicles in its portfolio, keeping in mind it's a SUV. Other features will include a plush leather interior and the unmistakable build quality.
Once launched in India, the Skoda A-Plus or the Kodiaq, whichever name Skoda prefers will compete with the VW Tiguan, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, and the Hyundai Santa Fe.
