Sachin’s BMW i8 Gets A Cosmetic Update
Sachin Tendulkar who marks his presence on the road with a BMW i8 is in the news again.
The master Blaster who's also BMW brand ambassador in India, just painted his BMW i8 to a shade known as Protonic Red. Sources suggest that the colour change was a paint-job and not a temporary wrap.
The car initially came in BMW White Pearl colour. The car was then painted to Protonic Red, and equipped with Anthracite HRE wheels on fatter tires.
BMW launched the i8 in India last year with a price tag of Rs. 2.29 Crore ex-showroom. The hybrid sports car is powered by a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine combined with an electric motor to produce a total power of 362bhp and a top speed of 250km/h.
When running in fully electric mode, the i8 gives a range of 35kms, and it is capable of hitting a top speed of 120 km/h. The combined range will vary depending on the driving style. According to BMW, the car is capable of travelling 600kms without refuelling in normal driving conditions.
