The Kwid is also a global product, meaning that the car can be equipped with safety features. But in order to keep costs low and sell in good numbers, standard safety features such as airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) are omitted.
But that cannot be the case when the car is sold anywhere else, say for example in Europe. According to a few sources, the Kwid will be launched in Europe under the Dacia brand, called the Dacia Kwid. The car is expected to made in the carmaker's Russian facility.
In order to meet with the strict European safety standards, the Dacia Kwid will have standard airbags, ABS, ESP, and other features. There is also a possibility that the car could get a stronger body shell.
