Renault claims the best-in-class power to weight ratios, rated at 97bhp per tonne for the Kwid 1.0-litre model. As far as the exterior is concerned, the 1.0-litre model is the same as the 800cc model, except it features a black and white chequered decals with '1.0' lettering on the side and on the silver ORVMs.

The Kwid 1.0-litre model will be sold in RxT and RxT (O) variants, and borrow features from the 800cc model which includes a 7-inch MEDIANAV touchscreen infotainment system. On the safety front, Renault is offering driver's airbags as optional.
