Renault Kaptur Caught Testing In Brazil Ahead Of India Launch
Renault will be launching the Kaptur SUV in the Indian market as soon as possible. Now the Renault Kaptur was caught testing in Brazil ahead of its launch. The Kaptur SUV was caught on video and showcases the side profile of the upcoming Renault model.
The Kaptur SUV will be placed above the Duster compact SUV in most markets. Previously, Renault planned on introducing an all-new Captur premium SUV in the Indian market. The French-based manufacturer, however, has decided to introduce an all-new Kaptur model for emerging markets.
Powering the Renault Kaptur will be a 1.6-litre, four cylinder petrol engine. The engine will produce 113bhp, along with 156Nm of peak torque. Initially, the Kaptur SUV will only be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Once launched the Renault Kaptur will compete with Hyundai Creta and soon to announced Honda HR-V models. The Kaptur has already been imported to India for R&D purpose. Take a look at the Renault Kaptur caught testing in Brazil recently.
