Renault Kwid Easy-R AMT Option Teased Ahead Of Its Launch In India
The Kwid with Easy-R AMT option will be launched in India during mid-November 2016. Renault India has commenced teasing their all-new Kwid Easy-R AMT via its social media platforms.
Renault had showcased two variants of its Kwid at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The French-based manufacturer revealed an all-new engine option and an Easy-R transmission option for its Kwid. Now, Renault has teased us with an image of their AMT option prior to launch.
Previously, Renault India introduced the Easy-R transmission option in their Duster compact SUV. Now, Renault Kwid will receive similar treatment, thus, adding more value to the compact hatchback. This new variant for Renault Kwid is likely to go on sale by mid-November 2016.
Easy-R AMT option will only be provided to Renault Kwid's 999cc, three-cylinder engine. This engine will produce 67bhp, along with 91Nm of peak torque. Unfortunately, Renault's Easy-R AMT will not be capable of manual gear changes and will be in automatic mode always.
Kwid with Easy-R AMT option is likely to be offered only in the top-spec variant. This will help Renault India boost sales of its top-spec Kwid. It will also provide customers with better features than regular Kwid. More than that Renault India will be sensitive about pricing its Kwid Easy-R AMT.
Once Renault Kwid Easy-R AMT launches it will compete with Maruti Suzuki's Alto K10 with Auto Gear Shift. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the launch of several new and interesting products in the Indian market.
