Renault To Launch Five New Models To Exploit New Segments In India
Renault India has witnessed tremendous growth owing to their new generation products. The all-new Kwid and Duster models have boosted sales for the French-based manufacturer. Now, Renault plans to launch five new models in India within the next three year.
The French-based manufacturer wants to exploit all possible segments available in India. Currently, Renault India is dominating the affordable hatchback segment. The Renault Duster when launched was one of the best-selling compact SUVs in the country.
The Fluence sedan will be replaced by the all-new Renault Megane sedan. The Megane will compete with the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz , and Hyundai Verna.
Two new SUVs will be introduced within 2019 in the Indian market. Renault's Kaptur and Koleos models will help the manufacturer further strengthen its position in the SUV segment. Koleos will compete with the Hyundai Santa Fe, while the Kaptur will take on the premium compact SUV market.
The CMF platform will be utilised by Renault to develop an all-new van-style model. Renault India wants to compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Eeco. Lastly, they could introduce an all-new sub-4-metre compact SUV to compete with Ford EcoSport and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
