Magnussen & Palmer Could Be Replaced For 2017 By Renault F1 Team
The Renault F1 Team is looking at options for the 2017 Championship. Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer have failed to impress Renault. Currently, the French manufacturer is not offering a competitive package to its drivers as well.
Both drivers were handed only a single year deal with the Renault F1 Team. So far, neither driver has managed to live up to the expectations set by the team. There is high possibility that both Magnussen and Palmer could be replaced for the 2017 Formula One season.
Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon are most likely to be acquired by the Renault F1 Team. Both drivers seem hungry to win and a factory drive could boost their confidence.
Ocon was supposed to join the Renault F1 Team as a rookie, however, Manor Racing has already provided him with a drive during mid-season. In a way, this is good news for the Renault F1 Team, as he can gain more track time amongst Formula One drivers and circuits.
Perez, on the other hand, has outperformed his teammate at Force India. Unfortunately, he does not seem happy with the progress of his team. Sergio Perez is looking for a full-fledged manufacturer to support his Championship winning aspiration.
Jolyon Palmer could move to Manor if Esteban Ocon is acquired by the Renault F1 Team. So far, Kevin Magnussen is unsure of his future in Formula One, if Sergio Perez decided not to make a move the Danish driver could retain his seat for one more year besides Esteban Ocon.
