Renault says that it did not cheat on its emissions technology in cars. Renault is recalling 15,000 vehicles in Europe since they produce excessive levels of harmful exhaust gases.
This month the company's shares plunged after the french authorities revealed that they had raided the company facility.
Renault's chief said that there was no intention to produce cars with high emission and it can filter to cope up with the tougher euro emission norms.
"I don't think it's going to change anything in the short term and certainly is not going to change our own plans," said Renault-Nissan chief, Carlos Ghosn.
"I'd say the light went from red to orange. We're waiting for it to go from orange to green," said Renault's Chief.
