Is This The New Facelifted Renault Duster?
Renault Dacia, a Romanian company and subsidiary of the French company, Renault recently revealed what could be India bound facelifted Duster at the Goodwill Festival of Speed held in the UK.
The Romanian company, Dacia has given the Duster subtle changes on the exterior and interiors as well. The front profile looks different compared to the Indian model, the headlamps are squarish and grille has been tweaked as well, the chrome finished large honeycomb grille reminds us of the Kwid.
Under the front grille, sits the air-dam which is new as well, and the skid plates are designed new as well. As for the rear, there is not much change except for the taillamp cluster which has been re-designed.
On the inside, the change is evident, the trims have been added with exquisite finish and lot more controls. The carbon finish to the dashboard looks classy yet modern not seen in Indian vehicles.
The alloy wheels are new with 16-inch diamond cut and finished off with the same colour treatment of carbon.
Coming to the power of the new facelifted Duster is the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine which produces 125bhp and 205Nm of peak torque and will come with the option of 2WD and 4WD. The new Renault Dacia Duster is available for sale in European countries.
Renault is expected to launch the facelifted Duster in 2017, time will tell if the same changes will be offered for the Indian market. There has been a lot of competition from the sub-four metre SUVs like Maruti Vitara Brezza and Renault will look to counter it with the best of SUV features on the new facelifted Duster.
