Renault To Bring Kaptur Based Crossover To India
Renault is expected to bring a crossover based on the Kaptur 4x4 Crossover that will soon be available in Russia.
The new crossover is based on the Duster SUV and and is expected to be available in both 5 and 7 seater form and will be be around 4.4 meters long when it makes its way into India. The new crossover is expected to be positioned above the Duster in India.
According to Autocar sources, the new car is not expected to wear the 'Kaptur' badge when it comes into India. The new crossover is expected to use a more powerful version of the Duster's 1.5-litre diesel engine.
The new car is expected to carry over the 5-speed manual and the Easy-R AMT gearbox from the Duster but it is also expected to use a 6-speed manual gearbox as well. An All-Wheel-Drive version is also expected to land in India.
The new crossover is expected to be launched in Brazil before it makes its way into India.
