Is Porsche Coming Up With A New SUV?

Porsche is all set to launch its new SUV based on Cayenne in 2017. A prototype model was seen testing, which will mainly target high-end versions of BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.

Recently a test mule car, with a combination of high-riding chassis of Cayenne and a coupe-like-profile of Panamera was found testing, near Porsche test center in Germany. Reports state that the new vehicle will be on sale in the US by mid-2019.

Though sports car enthusiasts of Porsche may find this third SUV a little too much, from the financial point of view, it's a good decision. Audi is also working on a similar project based on 2015's e-tron Quattro concept, the Q6. And this may be combined with Porsche project to help reduce the development costs.

In today's automobile market, there is a lot of demand for SUVs. With SUVs getting more sleeker and coupe-like-styling as seen on the recently launched vehicles. Land Rover, Aston Martin, and Bentley are also coming up with their new SUVs.
