Porsche Macan Turbo With Performance Pack Launched In India — SUV Can Now Out Sprint A 911
Grman carmaker Porsche has launched the range-topping Porsche Macan Turbo with the new Performance Pack in India. The Macan Turbo equipped with the Performance Pack is priced at Rs. 1,40,58,000 ex-showroom (Maharashtra).
Design-wise, the Porsche Macan Turbo with the Performance Pack gets dynamic headlamps and black trim pieces and sits on 21-inch alloy wheels similar to the ones found on the 911 Turbo.
The Performance Pack lowers the suspension of the Macan Turbo by 15mm with the help of bespoke setting son the car's Active Suspension Management (PASM) system.
The brakes have been upgraded as well and Porsche has fitted the Macan turbo with the sports exhaust system as well.
The reason for the upgraded suspension and brakes is the extra 40bhp and 50Nm of torque from the Macan's engine.
The 3.6-litre twin-turbo petrol engine now produces434bhp and 600Nm of torque.
The upgraded engine is mated to Porsche's 7-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox. Also standard on the performance pack variant isthe Sport Chrono Package which results in faster gear changes.
The Macan Turbo with the Performance Pack upgrade will accelerate from 0 – 100km/h in4.4 seconds which is 0.2 seconds faster than a Porsche 911 Carrera. The SUV will keep on accelerating till it hits a top speed of272km/h.
