German carmaker Porsche has launched the 2.0-litre turbo petrol variant of its Macan SUV in India. The new Macan variant is priced at Rs. 97.71 lakhs, on-road (Kolkata).
Porsche has started accepting orders for the 2.0-litre variant of the Macan and will start delivery of the SUV post the festive season.
Powering the new variant of the Porsche is a 1,984cc turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 248bhp and 370Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through the help of a 7-speed PDK automatic gearbox.
The newest Macan variant to come to India can sprint from 0 - 100km/h in just 6.7 seconds. If new owners opt for the Sport Chrono pack, the Macan will complete the sprint in 6.5 seconds. The Macan will keep on accelerating till it hits its top speed of 229km/h.
Equipment highlights include the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system, a host of driver assistance systems including lane departure warning, as well as the usual host of safety features such as multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, Traction Control and ESP.
The Macan is being marketed by Porsche as a more sporty alternative to its rivals like the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and the Mercedes-Benz GLE.
