Petrol and diesel prices across India have been slashed after 2 months of rising prices.
Petrol prices have cut by 74 paise/litre while diesel prices have dropped by Rs. 1.30/litre.
Petrol now cost Rs. 61.13/lire in the national capital of Delhi as opposed to the previous price of Rs 61.87/litre.
Diesel meanwhile has dropped to Rs 48.01/litre compared to the previous price of Rs 49.31/litre.
The Indian Oil Corporation explained the price drop stating, "The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and Indian Rupee-US Dollar exchange rate warrant decrease in price of petrol and diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision."
