Opel Ampera-e Set To Break Cover In Paris Auto Show Next Month
Chevrolet's latest offering in electric car segment, the Bolt EV, is set to hit european roads, under the skin of Opel. The car is named as Opel Ampera-e, and will be showcased in Paris Auto Show, which will be held in September.
The photos released by GM, shows no exterior difference compared to Bolt EV, except for the Opel's lightning flash insignia on the grill. Apart from that, like its American counterpart, Ampera-e is powered by flat battery pack, placed under cabin floor, which should last for good 320kms. The electric motor produces 200bhp and 360Nm of torque.
The Ampera-e, will have a top speed of 150km/h, which will be handful in European unrestricted autobahns. The car can sprint from 0-50km/h in just 3.2 seconds, so overtaking in traffic, should not be an issue.
The Ampera-e will have features such as, OnStar, with which seven mobile phones can be connected to wi-fi, and IntelliLink infotainment system, which is both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible.
