Ola Partners With Delhi Police To Curb Drunken Driving
App based taxi service Ola has partnered with the Delhi Police to help counter drunken driving on the streets of the national capital.
Ola's 'Help Delhi Police' programme has seen them install digital breathalyzers at party hot-spots and high footfall areas so that people can check for themselves if they are over the allowed blood alcohol limit.
Ola will provide those over the limit with free cab rides home.
Through this initiative, Ola is aiming to educate and sensitise citizens on road safety, thereby helping Delhi Police focus their scarce manpower resources towards constructive policing.
The Delhi Police issued 25,958 challans related to drunken driving in 2015.
