Nissan Teases Terrano Automatic On Twitter — Launch Iminent
Nissan India's latest tweets could be a hint to the arrival of the Terrano with an automatic gearbox.
Reports suggest the new Terrano could be launched in late October 2016 and the SUV is likely to reach the dealerships prior to the official launch.
The Terrano automatic is expected to come with a ZF Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) system, similar to the Renault Duster.
Once launched, the Terrano AMT is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre, diesel engine that produces 109Bhp and 248Nm of peak torque.
Currently, Renault offers two variants of the Duster AMT in India: RxL and RxZ, priced at Rs. 11.76 lakh and Rs. 12.97 lakh respectively.
Details regarding the pricing of the new Terrano is scarce at the moment.
We expect Nissan to price the Terrano AMT similar to the Renault Duster AMT.
The Terrano will be offered only with a front-wheel drive option and there are currently no signs of Nissan offering an AWD version of the Terrano.
