Nissan Terrano AMT Launch Soon
Car manufacturers are at the cusp of offering automatic gearbox features in their range of vehicles. Nissan's partner Renault launched the Duster in the Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) in the RxL and RxZ variants.
Built on the same platform, the Nissan Terrano will be launched soon with the AMT feature in it. The technology which Renault calls it 'Easy-R' was developed with the help of its Formula One team, will be seen in the Terrano AMT as well.
Currently, the Nissan Terrano is available with the choice of petrol and diesel engines. While the 1.6-litre petrol unit produces 103bhp of power and 145Nm of torque, the 1.5-litre diesel variant develops 84bhp and 109bhp options.
The Terrano AMT will be offered in the 110bhp state of tune. As for the exterior and interiors, there will not be any upgrades, except for minor tweaks in the form of upholstery. As for the features, the new Terrano might be seen with the touchscreen music system with navigation and auto AC.
Nissan will launch the Terrano AMT in the coming festive season and pricing could be in the same range as the manual transmission which is priced at Rs 13.15 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi) for the XV D 109bhp variant.
