Nissan India Posts Healthy Sales For November Despite Cash Crunch
Despite the demonetization effect and the impact of the liquidity on the current demand for cars, Nissan India posted a healthy growth of 52 percent for November with a solid performance from redi-GO.
Nissan Motor India has posted domestic sales of 3,975 vehicles in November 2016 compared to 2,617 units sold in the same period last year. This is a healthy growth of 52 percent for the Japanese automaker.
Commenting on the sales results, Arun Malhotra, MD Nissan Motor India said that despite the impact of the liquidity crunch on the current demand for cars.
Nissan India has posted a healthy growth of 52 percent in November with the continued solid performance of the Datsun redi-GO.
He further added that they are helping the customers by promoting cashless payment options such as use of cheques, debit/ credit cards, eWallets and other cashless services when they visit dealerships.
Nissan Motor India was incorporated in 2005 and together with its global alliance partner Renault setting up a manufacturing plant and R&D centre near Chennai. Nissan in India has a portfolio of two brands, Nissan and Datsun.
Under the Nissan brand, the company sells the SUV Terrano, sedan Sunny, small hatchback Micra, and the GT-R.
As for the Datsun, the company sells the small car redi-GO, the hatchback GO and GO+.
