Nico Rosberg Dominates F1 Japanese GP Free Practice 1 & 2
Formula One paddock is in Japan over the weekend for round seventeen. Nico Rosberg has managed to dominate free practice one and two. Lewis Hamilton has been extremely close to his Championship rival.
Both Scuderia Ferrari and Red Bull Racing also seem to be cutting down Mercedes advantage. Kimi Raikkonen and Max Verstappen look confident to challenge for podium places at the Japanese GP. Verstappen and Raikkonen are within a second of Mercedes lap time.
Surprisingly, Fernando Alonso has managed to put his McLaren-Honda in eighth place. Alonso managed to set a lap time which would easily get him into Q3 session on Saturday. However, Alonso and McLaren-Honda believe getting into Q3 could hurt their strategy.
Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg are making sure that Force India is the fourth best team. Force India is currently battling with Williams for the title of the best mid-pack running team. Toro Rosso seems to be struggling for race pace at the Japanese circuit.
The main focus, however, will be on Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. Mercedes teammates are separated by 23 points in the 2016 F1 Championship battle. The 2016 Japanese GP is shaping up to be an interesting race and we hope it will be a close fought battle.
