Jaguar India Reveals Next-Gen XF Specifications
Jaguar India has revealed the specifications of the new XF on their official website. The UK manufacturer is providing a host of features on the new Jaguar XF.
As per the website details, the Jaguar XF will be seen in three variants - Pure, Prestige, and Portfolio. All the three trims will be mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox which sends the power to the rear wheels.
All the three variants of the new Jaguar XF will be powered by the latest Ingenium series engine, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel mill that produces 178bhp of power and 430Nm of torque.
Jaguar claims the new XF with the Ingenium engine can go from 0-100kmph in 8.1seconds. In addition to the Ingenium engine, the Prestige and Portfolio variants will be offered with a 2.0-litre petrol engine.
The petrol 2.0-litre engine develops 237bhp of power and 340Nm of torque, Jaguar claims the petrol unit of the new Jaguar XF can sprint from 0-100kmph in seven seconds.
Jaguar will provide the 'Jaguar Drive Control' which lets you choose between four driving modes - Standard, Eco, Dynamic, or Rain/Ice/Snow mode.
There is a host of features as well on the next-gen Jaguar XF. The Pure variant gets an eight-inch touch screen, 17-inch alloys, bi-functional xenon headlamps, and electrically adjustable front seats.
In addition to the Pure variant features, the Prestige trim gets perforated leather seats and a memory function for the driver seat and the steering wheel. As for the Portfolio variants feature, it gets 18-inch wheels and 14-way adjustable electric front seats.
The new Jaguar XF will rival the Volvo S90, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5-Series, and the Audi A6; all of these are expected a model change in 2017.
