Spy Pics: Next-Gen Honda Accord Spotted Testing
The 10th Generation of Honda's Accord sedan has been spotted testing ahead of its debut next year.
The new-gen Accord has been spied testing under some rather heavy camo in the United States.
While most of the details of the car are obscured, the new Accord does seem to have a more upright stance compared to the current generation of the Accord.
The new Accord is expected to be based on the same platform that underpins the Civic in international markets.
Speaking of the Civic, the new Accord is expected to take quite a few styling cues from the smaller sedan.
Underneath the hood, the new Accord will feature turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engines. The V6 engine, despite the demand in the US for bigger engines, could end up being tossed into the trashcan with the increasingly constraining emission regulations. The hybrid powerplant on the hand is expected to stay.
The new car is expected to debut in the latter half of 2017.
Meanwhile in India, Honda is expected to re-launch the Accord later this year and the 9th-generation Accord is expected to be available only in hybrid form.
