All-New BMW 5 Series Sedan To Be Launched In India During 2017
BMW will be introducing its all-new 5 Series sedan in the Indian market during 2017. The all-new 5 Series sedan by BMW India will be a significant update over its predecessor.
BMW debuted its all-new 5 Series sedan for international markets during October 2016. Now, India is likely to receive the new model sometime during 2017. So far, an exact date or month has not been revealed, however, we expect new BMW 5 Series to launch during early-2017.
Under the hood of all-new BMW 5 Series will be an option between a 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine. Both engines will be mated to an all-new 8-speed automatic gearbox. For the Indian market, BMW could opt for the RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) 5 Series model.
Several driving aids will be provided to the 2017 5 Series by BMW India. Active Lane Keeping Assistant, Traffic Jam Assistant, anti-roll bar adjustment, Adaptive Drive System with Dynamic Damper Control. These new features will provide BMW 5 Series with semi-autonomous ability.
Expect all-new BMW 5 Series to be priced higher than the outgoing model. Once launched, 2017 BMW 5 Series will compete with the Audi A6, Jaguar XF, and the soon to be launched all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
