British carmaker Mini has launched the second-generation Clubman in India. The Mini Clubman hatchback is priced at Rs 37.90 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The new Mini Clubman is available in only one trim level in India: Cooper S.
The Clubman Cooper S is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 189bhp and 280Nm of torque which is sent to the front wheels by an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The new Clubman hatchback returns a mileage of 13.84km/l.
The Mini Clubman Cooper S will sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.2 seconds. The Clubman will keep on accelerating till it tops out at 228km/h.
The new Mini Clubman is 4,253mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,441mm tall. The Clubman has a 2,670mm long wheelbase. The Clubman has a 360-litre boot which can be expanded to 1,250-litres by folding down the rear seats.
Design wise, the Clubman looks like a stretched out version of the 'regular' Mini with the round LED headlamps up front flanking the grille which extends outwards from the res of the car. The Clubman sits on 17-inch vent spoke alloy wheels.
At the rear, the iconic barn doors from the first-generation Clubman are carried over which play host to the large LED tail lamps.
Inside, the Clubman features sports seats up front, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and an 8.8-inch circular touchscreen infotainment system.
The interior is done up in either white or black while there are three options for the upholstery: leather/cloth combination, leatherette/cloth combination and leatherette.
The all-new Clubman is available with a whole host of safety features including multiple airbags, ABS, brake assist, cornering brake control, Dynamic Stability Control, and run-flat tyres.
