Mercedes Confirm Their Vehicles Can Work On Bio-Diesel
Several automobile manufacturers were negatively impacted by the recent ban on the sale of diesel vehicles over 2,000cc in the Delhi-NCR region. Previously, the ban was to be held only till March 30, 2016 and is now extended to April 30, 2016.
Now according to reports, Mercedes-Benz India has provided information that all of their models can run on bio-diesel. The German-based manufacturer has confirmed that its cars, as well as trucks, can make use of 100 percent bio-diesel.
A letter was presented to Nitin Gadkari, Road Transport, and Highways Minister. Mercedes-Benz India officials have met with Nitin Gadkari and stated that all their vehicles comply with prescribed bio-diesel standards in the country.
The Indian Government plans on mixing diesel with bio-diesel to reduce harmful vehicle emissions. Pollution levels are at an all-time high in the nation's capital. Environmentalists, along with the ruling party are trying to improve air quality for a better and safer tomorrow.
