Mercedes Teases 'Massive' Maybach Coupe
German carmaker Mercedes-Benz is teasing a brand new coupe from its Maybach luxury sub-brand for the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
Mercedes posted a teaser image of the coupe on its various social media pages with the caption, "Hot & cool - almost 6 metres of ultimate luxury."
The image showcases the silhouette of the new coupe and you can make out the Maybach badge immediately to the right of the coupe's window.
At almost 6-mters in length, the new coupe is around 300mm longer than the longest car, that currently bears the Maybach name, the Mercedes S600 Maybach.
Mercedes has not yet revealed any details of the upcoming coupe, but from what we can see, the upcoming Maybach should be one elegant looking land yacht with its smooth and flowing lines. Let's just hope, it's better looking than the Maybach 57 and 62 or even the Maybach Exelero concept car.
With the type of grandioseness usually associated with the Maybach name, the new concept car could very well sport the same engine from the S-Class coupe. The 6-litre twin-turbo V12 engine albeit with added horsepower and torque, will ensure that new Maybach lives up to its rather prestigious badge.
Mercedes will officially unveil the coupe at 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time on August 18 (6:00 a.m. Indian Standard Time), so stay tuned to DriveSpark for more updates about the new massive Maybach.
