Mercedes CLA Facelift Launched in India; Prices Start At Rs 31.40 Lakhs

The new Mercedes-Benz CLA is available with two engine options, a 2.0-litre petrol and 2.1-litre diesel. Both engines are mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox and the powertrains are available with four driving modes: ECO, Comfort, Sport and Individual.



The 2.0-litre petrol engine kicks out 181bhp and 300Nm of torque. Thanks to the engine, the CLA 200 Sport will sprint from 0 - 100km/h in just 7.1 seconds and will keep on accelerating till it hits 240km/h.



The 2.1-litre diesel engine kicks out 134bhp and 300Nm of torque and is paired with a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The CLA 200d Sport can sprint from 0 - 100km/h in 9 seconds and is able to hit a top speed of 220km/h.



Design wise, the new CLA has been given a subtle makeover which in turn have resulted in coefficient of drag value of just 0.25, the lowest for any production car in the world.



Up front, the bumper has been tweaked slightly while the headlamps are now fully LED projector units.



The CLA sits on new 17-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels while at the rear the facelifted car features LED tail lamps which have undergone a slight design change as well.



Inside, the new CLA is fitted with a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display which is available with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with Garmin's MAP Pilot GPS system. The driver and front passenger seats are available with memory function as well.



The Mercedes CLA is now also available in a new Cavansite Blue paint job along with four other colours: Cirrus White, Jupiter Red, Mountain Grey, and Polar Silver.
