The orders for the dark-themed two-door will open on January 9, 2017, and delivery will commence in August of the same year. For the European customers, the delivery will start in April.
The Night Edition's most distinct styling element is the 14 spoke 20-inch wheels in black and the AMG badging on the front and rear fascias.
Mercedes-Benz carves ‘Night Edition' on the steering wheel, which makes the owners aware that what sort of S-class coupe they're piloting. The black theme can also be found on the front grille, mirror housings and side sill panels.
AMG also has tweaked the styling of the front and rear bodywork, while the Mercedes-Benz lettering is illuminated in the door sills.
The matte finish paint scheme (selenite grey magno) shown in the above press photos is available as an upgrade option.
Inside, the AMG sports steering wheel is wrapped in Nappa leather and the upholstery options include leather, Nappa leather or AMG Nappa leather in a variety of colour options including black/black, grey/black or red/black, along with high-gloss black poplar wood trim.
Mercedes-Benz's S-class models including S400 4Matic, S500, and S500 4Matic model will all get the Night Edition treatment. Around the globe, customers can choose between two engine options: a 3.0-litre 367bhp producing V-6 and a 4.7-litre 455bhp producing V-8 motor.
