Mercedes-Benz New E-Class India Launch Slated For Mid-2017
The all-new E-Class by Mercedes-Benz India will be launched sometime during early to mid-2017. Sixth-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be launched as a CKD from the very beginning.
Mercedes-Benz has always provided an interesting line-up of product launches in India. 2017, will be no different and all-new E-Class will be the main attraction. The all-new E-Class by Mercedes-Benz is likely to launch by early to mid-2017 in the Indian market.
The German-based luxury carmaker is likely waiting for the GST announcement, which is scheduled for February 2017. GST is most likely to be rolled out across the nation by July 2017. New tax structure could affect the pricing of 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in India.
Currently, Mercedes-Benz has begun testing the 2017 E-Class in India. This is the sixth-gen iteration of E-Class and will adorn an all-new design language. New E-Class will look similar to current-gen Mercedes C-Class and S-Class models.
All-new E-Class by Mercedes-Benz will be equipped with a petrol and diesel engine in India. It is unclear which engine options will be offered in the Indian market. All engine options will be equipped only with automatic transmissions, no manual gearbox will be offered in India.
2017 E-Class by Mercedes-Benz will be locally assembled in India from the very beginning. Once launched, Mercedes E-Class will compete with Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Jaguar XF, and Volvo S90 models. Expect the 2017 E-Class by Mercedes at an attractive price of Rs. 50 lakh ex-showroom.
