Merc's Beastly AMG GT R Blisters The Green Hell — Sets World Record Breaking Lap
The Mercedes AMG GT R has lived up to its 'Beast of the Green Hell' title by setting the fastest time ever posted by a RWD car at the infamous race track.
The Nurburgring race track (Drivers refer to it as the 'Green Hell') in Germany is probably the most infamous race track in the world, thanks to 154 unforgiving turns that dot 20.81 kilometers of tarmac.
When Mercedes unveiled the hardcore AMG GT R, the German carmaker called it the 'Beast of the Green Hell'. While many laughed at the title, the AMG GT R set out to prove that it was worthy of the title by setting a blisteringly quick lap time at the Ring.
