Mercedes SLC 43 AMG Roadster Launch Date Revealed
German carmaker Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the SLC 43 AMG roadster in India on July 26.
The all new SLC-class roadster was revealed in December 2015 as the replacement for the outgoing SLK-class and made its official debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2016.
Mercedes will launch only the current SLC range topping SLC 43 AMG in India. The AMG tuned roadster uses a 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 to produce 362bhp and 520Nm of torque all of which is sent to the rear wheels through a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The SLC 43 AMG will sprint from 0–100km/h in just 4.7 seconds and the roadster will keep on pushing till it hits the electronically restrained top speed figure of 250km/h.
Design wise, the new SLC 43 AMG features small angular headlamps flanking the grille which has a rather large three-pointed Mercedes badge taking centre-stage. Underneath the grille sits a large air dam to help the force-fed engine breathe better.
The rear of the car looks a lot more curvier and this is reflected in the tail lamps that curve around the boot which holds the automatically operated metal roof. The rear bumper also plays host to the quad exhaust tips.
