McLaren 570S Gets Racy With Performance Enhancing Track Pack
The optional Track Pack adds carbonfibre seats, lighter alloy wheels and an extended rear wing to the McLaren 570S
British supercar maker McLaren has revealed the optional Track pack for the McLaren 570S. The Track Pack will add another £16,500 (Rs. 14.27 lakh) to the £159,750 (Rs 1.38 crore) price tag attached to the 570S.
The Track Pack is an optional extra and adds performance-enhancing parts to McLaren's Sports Series range topper to help it go faster around a track.
These performance enhancing tweaks include the taller rear wing which extends out an extra 12mm compared to the normal 570 rear wing thereby generating an extra 29 kilograms of downforce at 241km/h (150mi/h).
Other performance enhancing features come in the form of carbon fibre which along with the rest of the interior are clad in alcantara instead of leather to save even more weight.
Helping in the diet are 10-spoke super lightweight alloy wheels. The wheels along with the new interior trim and seats combine together to wipe out 25 kilograms from the 1313 kilogram kerb weight of the regular 570S.
The effect of the weight saving is seen in in the sprint from 0 - 200km/h where a Track Pack equipped 570S is 0.1 second faster than the regular 570S.
This is mainly due to the fact that Mclaren haven't touched the 562bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine powering the 570S.
McLaren has also added Track Telemetry system featured on the 675LT and P1 to 570S Track Pack models which will offers real-time data including lap times, sector splits and comparisons between drivers, as well as post-drive information such as comparative graphs.
