Maruti Vitara Brezza To Be Available Only In Diesel Variant
The
all-new
compact
SUV
from
Maruti
Suzuki,
the
Vitara
Brezza,
will
only
have
a
diesel
engine
variant
to
offer.
Export
models
however,
will
have
a
petrol
engine
on
offer.
The SUV will be powered by a 1.3-litre diesel engine from Suzuki's premium hatchback Swift, which was licensed from Fiat.
Suzuki started the development of the Vitara back in 2012 and the company may introduce a petrol variant later.
Maruti Suzukik is aiming to sell 10,000 Vitara's a month. The vehicle will be unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo starting next week, while it is expected to reach the Maruti Suzuki showrooms by the first week of March.
The export version of Vitara Brezza is powered by Suzuki's new 1.5-litre M series engine and will be exported to markets such as Indonesia in the first stage of production.
