Maruti Vitara Brezza Waiting Period Extends To 6 Months, 40,000 Booked
The waiting period for the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has risen to six moths as the bookings for the compact SUV cross 40,000 units.
According to Rushlane, dealers are stating that depending on the variant ordered, the waiting period for the Vitara Brezza compact SUV can stretch to 6 months.
Maruti Suzuki shipped out 5,563 units of the Vitara Brezza in the month of March. The Vitara Brezza was launched on March 8, 2016.
The Vitara Brezza is powered by 1.3-litre diesel engine sourced from Fiat. The diesel engine produces 89bhp and 200Nm of torque. Maruti claim that the engine returns a class leading mileage of 24.3km/l.
Maruti Suzuki is currently working on petrol powered Brezza and is expected to fit the 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine from the Baleno RS under the hood of the compact SUV.
The Vitara Brezza's launch prompted Ford to drop the prices of its EcoSport compact SUV by up to Rs. 1.12 lakh to help it compete with Brezza.
