Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Is The Indian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) 2017

The winner of the award was selected by a team of Jury members which included veteran automotive journalists from various leading automotive publications in the country.

The Vitara Brezza won the award by beating some of the big and established competitors such as Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai Tucson, Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross, Ford Endeavour, BMW 7-Series, BMW X1 and Tata Tiago.

The nominees for this award also included Skoda Superb, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Innova Crysta, Honda BR-V, Audi A4, Datsun redi-GO, Jaguar XE, Mahindra KUV100, Volkswagen Ameo Mahindra NuvoSport and Mercedes-Benz GLC.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was the only compact SUV to break into the top ten best-selling cars in the country for several months. Within a short period of its launch, the Brezza was way ahead of its arch rivals.

Brezza went on to beat its segment rivals such as Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 100. The compact SUV boasts appealing exterior looks, loaded with features and the practicality it offers in the Indian market.

The Vitara Brezza is powered by 1.3-litre diesel engine churning out 88.5bhp of power. The transmission department is handled by five-speed manual gearbox for smooth and seamless shifting.

Apart from that, Maruti Suzuki also offers an array of customisation features with the Vitara Brezza. Customers can personalise the vehicle to make it look unique.

To stay ahead of the competition, Maruti Suzuki has aggressively priced the compact SUV, which is also a reason for its immense success in the Indian market. The Vitara Brezza is priced in the range of Rs 7.19 lakh to Rs 9.66 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
