Maruti Suzuki To Unveil The Swift Facelift Model By October 2016
Maruti Suzuki will be offering a much-needed update to its popular hatchback. The Swift will receive a facelift which will be revealed at 2016 Paris Motor Show. We can expect to see the vehicle sometime during October, with launch in several markets by early to mid-2017.
Under the hood of new and updated Swift will be three engine options. A single diesel engine option will be offered in the form of the 1.3-litre MJD engine. Two petrol engine options will be offered by Maruti Suzuki, a 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET and 1.2-litre K-Series engine.
The all-new Swift will be locally manufactured. There is a high possibility that the Indian manufacturing unit could export the hatchback to select few markets. Currently, the vehicle is constantly being tested in India prior to its global debut.
The Japanese-based automobile manufacturer is focussing on making the new Swift into a performance hatchback. Several sporty features to the exterior will be adopted by the all-new Swift. Visually, the hatchback will look bigger and meaner than the outgoing model.
