2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Spotted — Captured In Up-Close Images

Now once again, the 2017 Swift Dzire has been snapped testing and this time we can see the close-up shots of this upcoming compact sedan.

The new updated Swift Dzire will also get an overhauled interior compared to its current model. The car also features a newly designed front and rear end.

Both the hatchback Swift and compact sedan Swift Dzire will be based on the Baleno's lightweight chassis which uses many aluminium structures.

By using the new platform the compact sedan will shed around 30kg to 80kg of weight. The end result will be improved fuel efficiency which is likely to be the class leading in this segment.

Apart from that the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle By Suzuki) technology which is nothing but a mild hybrid technology may also be introduced in the Swift Dzire to avail Indian government's FAME incentive.

By using the SHVS technology the mileage of the Swift Dzire is expected to increase a bit more. The exterior of the test mule car has been completely covered with camouflaged livery, so nothing can be commented about the new design cues.

The new Swift Dzire will be equipped with features such as - Dual airbags, EBD, ABS, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system with reverse camera and navigation and steering mounted controls.

Compared to the all-new Swift hatchback, the new Dzire will get a slightly different centre console and is expected to be offered in dual-tone theme. When launched the Swift Dzire will be competing with the likes of Honda Amaze, Volkswagen Ameo, Ford Figo Aspire, Hyundai Xcent, Chevrolets yet to be launched Essentia and Tata's upcoming Kite 5.
