2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire To Be Launched Before Swift In India
The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire will be launched in India before the next generation Swift hits the Indian market.
Maruti Suzuki will be launching its updated compact sedan, the Swift Dzire ahead of the all-new Swift hatchback in India.
According to reports, Maruti Suzuki will first introduce the 2017 Swift Dzire to the Indian market and later it will launch the next generation Swift in the country.
Previously, from the past two generations, Maruti Suzuki has given preference to its hatchback model, the Swift. And then launched the sedan in a few months.
But this time it's the other way around. This new strategy from Maruti Suzuki is not at all surprising as the Swift is seeing a fall in the Indian market.
With the launch of Baleno, the premium hatchback has been a great success in India. Which also comes with extra features and the customers are ready to pay a slightly higher price than that of Swift.
Whereas in the compact sedan segment, Swift Dzire is the sole product for Maruti Suzuki in the country. In terms of competition, Dzire is the oldest product and the best-seller for the company.
The 2017 Swift Dzire has already been spotted testing in India. The car was heavily camouflaged and the change in the front fascia and the new rear section was clearly visible.
With the new products launching in the compact sedan segment in India in 2017, this is a smart move from Maruti Suzuki. When launched the new Swift Dzire will be a straight rival to the likes of Volkswagen Ameo, Hyundai Xcent, yet to launch Chevrolet Essentia and Tata's much-awaited Kite5.
